Ok, I think I found it;

Password rules aren't enforced but if you don't follow them you don't get in:

Your password must be 5-40 Characters long, use letters and numbers and at least one of these characters: !@#$%^&*()_+=-

Now it works for me, yay!

I fixed it by resetting my password.
The message of "Server could not confirm" MEANS YOUR PASSWORD DIDN'T MATCH WITH YOUR ACCOUNT NAME!
(for some strange reason. Just reset your password that does the trick)

I dont think it has anything to do with an overloaded login server. Just tried to login at 550am EST and received the same error.

I can't log on but it may be something to do with my University's firewall: it is known to prevent people from connecting to certain types of server. I'm going to keep trying but I may not be able to play until I go back to my parents' house for Christmas Oh well.

Yes, that worked for me I included a symbol, and as soon as I did, it allowed me to login.

So, I guess just make sure its at least 5 characters long, and you include a number, a symbol, and letters.

I have reset my pw twice now and I always use pw's longer than 5 characters, includes a number, symbol and Upper and lower case letters. Still recieving the same error. I guess I will just have to wait for Sauropod to fix it, its a shame I am not more patient.

Thanks for the heads up, I too apparently had the wrong password and like some others have mentioned I don't even remember choosing a password in the first place but obviously I must have chosen something obscure if I could not login last night. I must have allowed my lastpass plugin to choose the password when I initially signed up or maybe it was due to them sending me that 2nd message telling me that something was wrong with my username and that I must choose another one, maybe it didn't carry over the password I originally chose to when I had to enter a username the 2ND time.

Oh and I reset my password and did NOT use a symbol (this time I used all numbers) and it worked fine.

For those that are still not able to get in, don't sweat it too much, it is truly a prototype and is super rough and unpolished right now, in fact to the point that I'd say there's hardly a game there right now, not even close to alpha hence the name prototype so you're really not missing much other than abysmal camera controls and plenty of buggy features and lack of features (once again, hence why it's called prototype)

The game and the forum are two separate accounts. There should have been a notice when you signed up on the forum that stated such.
If they have the same password, it is because you used the same one for two accounts.

You don't need to include letters, numbers and special characters.
You may use them, I didn't use special characters so...

It can't be my credentials because I changed my password last night and it still didn't work.

So is anyone else using wireless? It could possibly be a problem with wireless connections.

I use wireless, and a laptop, for family reasons, but after adding a special symbol to my password, I can login.
