Obviously this is the prototype and not the actual game. The controls are, in their current state, horrible. It's nearly impossible to do anything because i'm unable to deselect my currently equipped tool in order to pick a new tool. ie. Building a few stockpiles then wanting to mine requires me to build a new logging group in order to deselect the stockpile tool. I then have to delete the new group and attempt to create a mining group in order to actually mine.

Not having a tutorial or a detailed explanation of the keys is also somewhat frustrating (the wiki isn't much help either). Again I know this is a prototype, however, I'm not sure how you guys got anything done with it! It isn't very intuitive. I hope this is helpful and not offensive :p

    **EDIT**
I figured out the right click menu that helps alot

While i am sure i can come up with technical issues, or suggestions like camera improvements, i don't think we can properly evaluate anything without a complete understanding of what is in at the moment and how to use it. Given the game is going to go through many updates and variations, i would suggest building in a nice modular information system that can easily be updated with every version.

As such, my feed back is as follows. Looks like a great start, your about as progressed as i was expecting. However, three things would help players.
    1. Tool tips - if you hover your cursor over any button or tab like delete from X etc, it will give a short description of what it is (like with the main menu but smaller and slower to pop up). If you also implemented a button, say ctrl, that will light any tool tip on the screen (helps if you didnt realise something was a button)
    2. Create a simple word doc or pdf which has all of the function names as per the tool tips, with just a short description of how to use it.
    3. As others have said, a tutorial section would help all new players.

After 3 hours on the prototype, I can say that the money I've spent on it was totally right. The prototype is amazing and I think the game would be awesome.

Generally, I think there are these situations to fix:
    • Camera is very compliated and frustrating to control
    • Bricktrons stuck themself too easily
    • When I build up with woods is very difficult to target the right spot for high spots

Game is great. I seriously think there should be a better prototype island, as it is too small to build much of anything on it.

Figuring out the controls is a bit of a pain and some of the bugs are quite confusing at the beginning. (Especially when the camera gets a seizure, which happens sometimes.)

However, even though I haven't played a lot until now, I really like how it is looking so far.
It just needs more options to control your view and the group system feels a bit clunky.

Just finished my first rudimentary bridge to a small island and will probably waste some more time instead of going to bed like I should xD

When you're in the build mode, just hold the right mouse button down and a "quick build select" wheel pops up, and the bottom option deselects whatever thing you were building. I was SUPER frustrated with that same thing at first, you've just got to dig around in these forums and the r/castlestory subreddit to dig stuff up. It's like when I first played Minecraft. I couldn't figure out how to get a wood block off a tree and it was driving me nuts that the game was popular, and I just had to research a bit to figure stuff out. :)

A more wide open space would be much appreciated, but it'll come with time I'm sure!

I'm having ALOT of fun with this game already. But when I first played I hard a hard time figuring out the controls. Also there needs to be more islands, but I'm sure the devs are working on that. I've also noticed there's no way that you can make Knights or Archers without spawning them with the De-bug mode.

I do not mean to be a bother, but the game refuses to create any new games when i hit the appropriate button.
I have logged in just fine.
All that happens is the buttons on the main menu disappear. Nothing else happens.
I will give feedback when after I am allowed to play the game.

Granted the game is in Prototype, but that high pitch noise when you are next to the big crystal is beyond annoying. It is impossible to play the game with sound with that blaring. I found if I zoom way out I can't hear it, closer I get to the crystal worse it is. Other then that, yeah controls are not super easy to work with, but I am sure fixes are coming.

It would be helpful to have a large flat island to work with (Maybe without a lot of trees).

not sure if this is bug or other but when an archer shoots into say 5 ctrons 1 dies and the others dotn react. at all........ ever..... was this planned or not programmed yet or (other)

Great game so far! By this point I am sure you are aware of a couple of bugs but for the most part once I figured out the majority of the controls, the game is pretty fun =D. I am looking forward to the Beta.

You're aware you can remove blocks by holding the Shift key, yeah? You do have to have the same tool active you created them with, though, but you can remove both phantom, and real, blocks. :)

The catapult has no max range.... I find that, disturbing

for 'alpha' stat - this is pretty fun and decently workable; it just has me that much more excited for beta! Great job you crazy french canadians!

Don't really like camera controls, but building was pretty easy to me, except leveling terrain is sometimes a hassle

I have found the prototype very enjoyable; besides the bugs although expected.

    Some key things to improve**
    Overall bug fixes of course

User Interface; the controls are difficult to get used to but that's part of the "new" factor a tutorial can help with controls but the management of bricktons is a bit messy; placing phantom blocks could use a bit work as getting the "right angle" can be VERY annoying at times.

AI & Pathing; could also use some work, it seems the more difficult the path the less functional (I had my bricktons setup to walk from 1 island to the other side of the starting island (about pathing a "C"shape and they wouldn't go, they'd stop; if i made supply pads closer they'd go just fine.)

Concepts: LOVE IT!: LOVE IT ALL!!!!!! I murdered some brickton's a while back and I was crackin' up at the "corpses" (does that sound messed up?)

    Unfortunately the content in the prototype is rather limited so I can't say much about Combat;

Physics are good although it'd be nice if bricktons showed better intelligence about it (chopping a tree to fall off the island...) sometimes a brickton will "touch" moving object and the physics freak out (one of my bricktons punted a falling log wayyy out of the island-areas)

    ********* KEY THING *********

GROUND LEVELING!!! Please! PLEASSSEEEEE! Add a function to level out ground (going to try using supply pads) but this would be millions of help (my castles are never "pretty"...

Thank you for the opportunity to play and debug this glorious game.
