    Original Blog Post...
    Hi there!

We are precisely half way through the Kickstarter and things are going great! This week we hit the $400 000 mark. Now that’s something! Making a video game can be expensive and we are still not planning to buy a truck full of gummy bears, but at this point, we are definitely going to be able to afford the best possible tools and the most efficient help. Anyways, it looks like we will be able to do a hell of a game.

This week, we went back to more formal work. Benoît returned to the game’s development. He is working on what we call the slicing mechanic. It’s the tool we are building to be able to see through mountains and castle walls. It works fine right now and it’s good news since that will give you the capacity to make underground fortresses in the prototype.
Germain worked with Thierry on the web page and distribution system required to make the prototype available when ready. He also gave a lot of time to the emails and community.
For my part, I splitted my time between emails and legal paperwork because yes, even after what we went through to be able to kickstart our project, there is still a lot to do to be able to receive your donations in a safe and legal manner. A $400 000 transaction never really goes unnoticed and we have to make sure everything is done properly.
The most asked questions of this week are:
If I donate $30, do I get two copies of the beta and one copy of the prototype or do I just get the betas?

The “double beta” pack was made to be just that. We received a lot of demand for that specific reward so we added it. There is the “double prototype” reward at $45 if you want to have two betas and two prototypes. We didn’t do an hybrid “two betas and one prototype” reward because it seemed even more confusing to us.
If I get the “double beta” reward, can I give one copy to someone else?

Yes you can. That reward tier was created just for that. When the beta will be ready, you will receive two codes to be able to register two different accounts. The same applies for the “double prototype” reward.
Anyways, we thought that, since you’re all investing in our project (or sort of, depending on which lawyer we talk to), it would be fair to give you a little guided tour of what the game looks like right now. We will show you the island on which we made the trailer and are also going to formally present the new units we showed during the video.
    Enjoy!

Really enjoyed the video. It looks brilliant. I'm also glad that it cleared up the question of whether or not you can place dirt (it sounds silly, but I consider it important ;)). The fact that armor can be mixed and matched was also a very pleasant surprise. I do hope that more armors are added in the future. It did leave me with a few questions though. When a bricktron or corruptron dies, what are the little lights above them? Are they their souls? Also, is their breaking up into little chunks after death set in stone (no pun intended)? Will we perhaps eventually be able to bury them instead (with a short funeral service for their valiant efforts)? On a similar note, nice ragdoll physics. And finally, you said that corruptrons don't use catapults... is this only for the time being, or will they always be animal-like creatures? Can we expect them to use siege weaponry and strategy later on? I have many more questions, but those are the ones related to the video. Thanks again, I really look forward to the next update. This game just keeps getting better and better.

Love it! I am loving the teasers with the floating souls! The bricktrons look like when they die they break down to the same yellow crystals used for the torches and the corruptrons break down to stone. Also maybe when you kill the big brother corruptron you get the purple crystals on his back along with the stone? Basically it seems you can use the bodies of your dead enemies to build and reinforce your castle, kinda dark but very nice! There are still so many questions and I cannot wait to see where this goes. Thanks for the update looking forward to the next one.

Man, that's just awesome! Keep the good work (fine idea with items and funny ragdoll :) ) Can't wait for beta :D

Looking fantastic, the only question on my mind now is when we get the prototype/beta to play with.

Hopefully the prototype will be before Oct 17th, but that date at the latest. I hope to see the beta before the year's end though.

No information on the souls, or debris of their bodies. That was what I was hoping for.

Also, I think I now have a good idea on how that bridge was built!

I don’t have a credit card! How do I pledge? Can I pay with Paypal?
Unfortunately, we have no control over the way Kickstarter works. We’ve spent the last 4 months going through the complicated steps require to sign up for a Kickstarter, so we know what it feels like to deal with Amazon Payments.
But do not despair! We are currently working on a system that would allow people to donate via a widget on our own website! It’s pretty complicated to set up, especially if we want to distribute rewards similar to what we offer on Kickstarter, so don’t expect it to be online soon. But within a week, hopefully, everything should be ready to go.
If everything goes well, the widget should be super easy to use, allowing you to donate via Paypal and/or a large number of payment options!

It seems it is in the works!

Well, similar. They have stated they will be using the humble store, which is by the same creators of the humble bundle! It should be rather interesting, and it sounds very flexible in its distribution ability, including the ability to provide steam keys as well through the humble store.

Ah, thanks for the clarification... making it painless to distribute / acquire the client is critical...
