    Original Blog Post...
    Good evening ladies & gentlemen

This is the final Kickstarter diary. Don’t worry this is not the last you hear from us, because starting next week we’ll go back to our regular (more fun to read) dev diary model. But in the meantime we still have a few issues to adress.
Before we do that however, there’s something we absolutely need to say. I’ll put it right here in front because I want to make sure you guys read this:
    Sang-Froid: Tales of Werewolves

We owe the idea of Castle Story to two dudes:
The first guy, we call him Vince. He taught a game development class during university that totally blew our minds. He pretty much single-handedly taught us how to program and create games. We owe him a LOT.
The second guy, we call him Louis-Félix. He was Vince’s teacher assistant during that class. He showed us a game of his that gave us the inspiration for Castle Story. He then convinced us to go take a game design course he had taken which led us to go indie as well.
So without these two dudes, Castle Story would not exist. We would probably not even be making games for a living.
It turns out that they founded an indie studio together. The game they are working on just launched on Steam Greenlight. This is really important: go vote for it! This is the first game about Québec/Canada folklore ever made, so another good reason to vote for it. You can vote for as many games as you want, but I wanted to bring this one to your attention.
Vote for Sang Froid: Tales of Werewolves on Steam Greenlight
With this said, let’s get back to business.
    Kickstarter: the aftermath

Sorry for the lack of news during the week, we spent these precious moments of respite to track down the Kickstarter funds and make sure they safely complete their journey into our bank accounts. The bulk of the Kickstarter money will be frozen until September 14th, according to Amazon Payment’s policies. But we’re not dirt-poor anymore, the Paypal funds are coming in our pockets as we speak. More on that later.
Thanks to many motivated people we passed the 700,000$ mark in the last hour, which is incredible, to say the least. The curve on our funds tracker has this nice little spike at then end.
We’re currently preparing a very complete and thorough post-mortem on our campaign, so I’ll keep this short. No need to bore you with needless details right now. They will be in our next blog post.
We will also begin contacting every backer according to the reward tier you signed up for. For example, those of you who wanted t-shirts, we will ask you what size, which design, etc. Same thing for all other reward tiers.
    The Paypal is still online

Until 23h59 EDT tonight, our Paypal will be online. We kept it going for a few more days because we felt that people who could not pledge on Kickstarter had only a very small window of opportunity : we only got the Paypal account ready 3 days before the end. So if you live in Europe, you still have a chance!
We will be shutting it down tonight though.
    Back to work

The campaign now over, we can get back to work. Your generosity gave us the means and the confidence to create a great game. We also feel a deep responsibility to create something that will live up to your expectations. It’s quite a big challenge.
A million thank youses to all of you! Expect news from us early next week!

    Ciao amigos!
