[RTD] The Sunken Isle

    Backstory:




    A once great and mighty island soaring through the lands, it eventually came to an end and sunk once the magic holding it up started to fade, but yet it still survives. Years after the magic had started to disappear the island was in the water, but now that the magic holding it is gone doesn't mean there is no magic left, is just is not where it is "seen." Now go forth and reclaim the land that once was!


    The Setup
    (This I lifted entirely from the other RTD threads)
    You're going to become a bricktron, or something very similar. You'll be dealing with the day in and day out life of the character you'll be playing out. Each turn (which will begin at the end of a turn post and run until the next, a maximum of 1 real life day) you'll be able to take an action. Each action is actually doing something, such as building a wall or digging in the mines. Things like travel (unless perilous), sleep (unless unprotected) and conversation (unless provoking) aren't considered actions.

    Your goal is to survive, plain and simple. This survival could be anything from hiding in a cave and staying away from one another to banding together to build a castle, then expand to other islands. Very few things in this game will be impossible, even some things that should be. you'll never know until you try. But remember, big failures can mean big penalties, and not just for the bricktron that did it.


    The Rules
    This is a roll play game!!
    Instead of posting "I search a cave for stuff"
    Post more in depth like this "I walk into the cave that I discovered on the large 50 meter rock face. Its dark and dreary and extreamly hard to adjust my vision to the darkness. I scavenge around the cave floor hoping to cross up on some supplies like stone or small sticks"

    If you sign up and are not an active player you will be removed.
    If there is some reason that you will not be active such as being gone to the trip please send me a p.m. And we will work things out.

    There are 5 turns each day and each night.

    If your character dies in the game you can still create a new character and rejoin the game, but you will have to wait in the waiting list if the game is full.

    When posting an action please make it clear what you want your action to be.

    Tip: I weight the rolls based on a lot of things such as the resources you have and the injuries you have.
    It would be to your advantage collect resources and then make a weapon then just searching for a weapon.

    This game will be using Roll to Dodge (RTD) rules. Players post actions, then I roll a six-sided die to resolve them using the table below.

    Overshot. You succeeded too well. Something probably went wrong from your overkill accomplishment.
    [5]
    Critical Success. You succeeded perfectly. This went as well as could be expected.
    [4]
    Success. You succeeded, plain and simple. You got done whatever it is you wanted to get done.
    [3]
    Partial Success. You succeeded somewhat or in a substandard way. You either half-completed whatever you were trying to do, or did it but not very well.
    [2]
    Failure. You failed. In some cases this may have additional consequences, while in others it just means you didn't accomplish anything.
    [1]
    Critical Failure. You made things worse. Whatever you were trying to do, it probably either backfired or was ruined instead.

    Also, if someone does not participate for a few consecutive days without giving me any kind of notice, they will be removed from the roster and the character assumed dead. If you have to leave, just pop me a PM and we'll sort it out.

    How To Join
    To join, just fill out the little form beneath and post it. I will take up to 8 players at any given time. Any players beyond that will be put on a wait list, just like with [RTD] Strange Tale. When/if a player dies, a player from the wait list will be inserted into the story.

    -Name is obviously your in-game name; it can be the same as your username if you so desire.
    -Appearance should be self-evident. remember your a BT.
    -Flavor is what your delicious kind tastes like; I would assume it would be some sort of fruit flavor, but if you want to be the flavor of ham or gravel or water be my guest. Your flavor will not generally affect how frequently you're attacked or anything like that, but some enemies might have specific preferences.
    Edit: -Traits are simply something like an "Artful Swordsman" or a description of abilities, But stay crative.

    Day 1 Prenoon: The First Meeting

    [5] Yvoo climbs up the Towering Tree and sees a Black Silhouette with Green Eyes looking at him. The Silhouette moves closer and Yvoo sees that it is a Black Furry Creature with Green Eyes, like it is still a Silhouette, and he notices an Old Sword and some sticks being carried by the Creature.

    (Until we have 8 players) Your starting action: Walking around looking for others, if all else fails, start digging a hole and try to build some sort of shelter.

    I quickly run down to the creature, but keep my distance readily waiting to see it's gestures and it's choices. If neutral or friendly I try to make friends with it still keeping about a 1-2 metre distance from the sword. Waiting warily...

    Day 1 Noon: Failure


    [2] [6] You fail to see anyone from in-front of the cave, so you start to make a moat-like hole around the cave entrance... that you end up doing so well you cant get back.

    [2] You trip over air and run into a tree, from which you get a nose bleed...

    [5] You stand and wait for an answer, after laughing on the inside of course.

    Confused of how I managed to do such a thing, I decide to try to widen the cave to allow for better living space, then make some sort of bridge to get out, but make it so it can be defended or destroyed in the case of an attack.

    My internet has started screwing with me, and at times not work for a few days, stopped for now.

    Day 1: Afternoon: Mid-Success

    [3] You look into the cave and realize you need to do no expanding, but you will need many light sources! You manage to get some of the dirt from the ditch you dug to form a bridge across, but it is rather large so it can support itself...

    [3] You learn his name is Yvoo! He almost trips again when you help him up.

    [4] You learn his name is Austin! (Up to him for the TOGETHER part. Improper spelling.)

    Appearance: A light blue right eye that shines brightly in the sunlight, a creepy red left eye that seems to burn with hate

    Flavor: Pie-flavored pie
    Starting action: I wake up near some trees on a small Island, realizing the day is half over! I try to create an efficient mine, if it succeeds, I will attempt to quickly build a crude bridge to the nearest Island. If it fails, I will search for any supplies on this... hopefully inhabited... Island.
    Note: I have school, so don't expect a reply early in the day. If I don't reply before the next turn, assume I am sleeping... or being eaten by corruptrons, either is fine

    I look to the sky and decide to light a signal fire, but before I even attempt to do that, I should make some sort of weapon to defend myself in case of a hostil being coming over to where I am.
